Stefania Matuella Italian born Stefania moved to what she now calls home (London) nearly 11 years ago after an important experience in Germany. Throughout the years she has evolved musically, surfing through several genres whilst playing in some of the most iconic clubs in London; some of which include; Crucifix lane, The Egg, Starlane, 93FeetEast and the infamous Arches.
Although Stefania is a versatile DJ, her preference has been to develop a more introspective approach to the music she plays creating moods for more intimate settings, as opposed to performing to large crowds on big stages.
Her intuition has become her most solid quality and as a result, most of the time, crowds can rarely predict what sort of set she may play at her next gig. This culminates in an exciting anticipation which she finds motivating. Surprising listeners is always a fun challenge for her and one which she passionately accepts.
For this podcast for Orla ep, Stefania has decided to go deep into a soft, wavy Electro sound reflecting the instability and the fragility of today’s reality.
