Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what Veneno collects when you use veneno.live, the Veneno app, the chat, My Veneno or the LAB application form, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.
1. Who we are
Veneno, R. Dr. Cesário Mota Júnior, 281, Vila Buarque, São Paulo, SP, 01221-020, Brazil. We are responsible for your data under Brazil's LGPD and, for people in Europe, the GDPR. Contact for anything privacy-related: contact@veneno.live.
2. What we collect
| What you use | What we collect | Why (legal basis) |
|---|---|---|
| Listening and browsing | Nothing that identifies you. On the website, Google Analytics records anonymous visits (pages, device type, approximate country) | To see what people listen to and improve the site (legitimate interest) |
| Chat | The nickname you choose, your messages and their time | To show the chat during live shows (running the service) |
| My Veneno account | Your email; with Google sign-in, your name and profile picture; the sets you save; sign-up and last sign-in dates | To run your account and sync saved sets across devices (contract) |
| Veneno news (optional) | That you ticked "Send me Veneno news" and when | To email you news and highlights (consent, which you can withdraw anytime) |
| Apply for LAB | Name, artist name, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, links to your music, styles and preferred dates | To review your application and contact you about it (pre-contract steps) |
| Saved sets without an account | Kept only in your own browser, never sent to us | So the heart button works |
We may look at saved sets in aggregate, such as the most saved shows, to plan our programming. We do not collect payment details, contacts, location, camera or microphone.
3. Services we use
Each of these handles data only to provide its part of Veneno, under its own privacy policy:
- Supabase (servers in São Paulo, Brazil): My Veneno accounts, saved sets and news opt-ins.
- Google: Google Sign-In (optional), Google Analytics (website), Google Forms (LAB applications) and Firebase (chat).
- Netlify: hosts the website.
- Mixcloud and YouTube: play archived sets and videos inside our pages, and may see your visit when their players load.
- Our radio and video servers receive technical data such as your IP address, only to deliver the stream to you.
Some of these companies may process data outside Brazil, with the safeguards the LGPD and GDPR require.
4. How long we keep it
- My Veneno: until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your email, saved sets and preferences at once.
- News opt-in: until you untick it or delete your account.
- Chat messages: while needed for the chat; they may be cleared periodically.
- LAB applications: 12 months after you apply, so we can offer you a later slot if your dates don't work out, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Analytics: Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent, or object to how we use it. Delete your account yourself in My Veneno, untick news there, or email contact@veneno.live for anything else. We reply within 15 days. You can also complain to Brazil's ANPD or, in Europe, your local data protection authority.
6. Children
Veneno is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
7. Security
Access to our systems is limited to the Veneno team and protected with two-factor authentication. Each My Veneno account can only read its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you and the authorities if a breach puts your data at risk.
8. Changes
We will post any update here with a new date, and email account holders about important changes.
