Gustavo Vieira Lessa Carvalho, 25y , aka Lessa Gustavo was born and raised in Baixada Fluminense, estate of RJ. A resident of Nova Iguaçu, his creations move between the Visual Arts, Performance and Sound, beginning to explore his expressive skills still in his childhood.

In 2014, based on her visual work, Lessa founded the creative label BANAL. Initially curating, promoting and producing artists who dialogue in their sound aesthetics. In the following years, the label started to produce some events and, more recently, it became a brand of utilitarian clothing and accessories.

Self-taught, the artist began studying music production and singing in mid-2014. Between hits and misses, he developed his own style of production, somehow creating a unique or peculiar identity when producing. Reused and distorted samples accompanied by drums or not, compose new scenarios for other artists from all over Brazil to develop their lyrical narratives and materialize their songs. Until then, his curriculum includes 10 of his own EPs, in addition to the production of other artists and performances in several cities in Brazil.

In addition to working with music, Lessa Gustavo also studies and works in the field of visual arts, using languages such as collage and appropriation, performance and cinema. His main references are the works of Madlib, Paulo Nimer Pjota, Hélio Oiticica and Rogério Sganzerla, respectively.
