Cadu Tenório

What isn’t remembered never happened; memory is merely a record, you just need to rewrite that record.

Cadu Tenório is a producer and sound artist active in the electronic and experimental scene. His work aims to push the boundaries between polyrhythm, ambient music and noise. His approach involves exploring different recording processes and searching for unconventional timbres through a combination of synthesizers, field recordings, tape loops, everyday objects and processed instruments.

Over the past ten years he has been involved in numerous projects as a composer and musician, including Ceticências, VICTIM! and Sobre a Máquina, in addition to his eponymous work which also involves sound installations, sound design and composition for theater and film. In addition, he collaborates with artists from different segments, ranging from experimental to Brazilian popular music. Some of his partnerships include Paal Nilssen-Love, Juçara Marçal, Kiko Dinucci, Ava Rocha, Thomas Rohrer, Marcela Lucatelli and Rogério Skylab.

He has an extensive discography of national and international titles, with his work released by independent labels such as virtua94 (USA), Blue Tapes (UK), Fusty Cunt (USA), QTV (Brazil) and Ukiuki Atama (Japan).
